I listen to mostly Symphonic/Power/Fantasy metal, but the gothic stuff I do listen to I think you would enjoy:

Moonspell, Tristania, Trivium (although they're more on the power metal end), God Forbid (although they got a little repetitive for me after a while).

If you wanna branch out from the black/death/gothic scene, I'd highly recommend:

Kamelot
Symphony X
Threshold
Blind Guardian (actually....just listen to these guys and ignore everything else XD....well except for Kamelot

)
Nightwish
Stratovarius
Therion (although they may take a while to get used to hearing-they combine opera with metal...freaking awesome)
Leaves Eyes
After Forever
Iced Earth
Demons and Wizards

i listen to all kinds of metal, Richardt, and have heard some of those bands.

btw Trivium were metalcore before, then became thrash metal (not power), they get slammed a lot but for me theyre ok

new Nightwish sucks, classic ftw...Kamelot pwns...Moonspell=brutal...Tristania was good but im unsure bout the new vocalist
